Bonfire Night Safety

Stay Safe on Bonfire Night

♦ Use gloves when you have sparklers

♦ Have a bucket of water or sand close by for sparklers

♦ Keep a safe distance from fires and fireworks

♦ Don’t keep fireworks near open flames

♦ Never return to a firework after it’s been lit, even if it doesn’t go off

♦ Never hold fireworks

                                         Pets and Bonfire Night

♦ Make sure to keep your pets inside on Bonfire Night!

♦ Close the curtains, play music or turn on the TV to try to drown the noise.

♦ Walk your dog during the day

♦ Let your pet hide if they want to

♦ If your pet lives outside, cover their pen or cage

If you’re having a bonfire be sure to check the area for small animals before lighting it!
